The cheapest rooms around North Campus are here, but be honest about the cost you're paying in time: 40–70 minutes of commuting daily, every day, for three years. Most first-years who start here try to shift closer by second year.

The safety question, honestly

All four localities are busy student areas; the differences are at street level. What matters more than the locality is the specific street (market-facing and lit vs interior lane) and the building's entry system. Wherever you take a PG, check: is the approach road lit and busy at 9 pm? Is entry biometric or a register? Are common areas on CCTV? Those three questions filter out most bad options in any neighbourhood.
